Suppose you have a coin, and your goal is to flip it and land heads 10x in a row.

If you flip the coin 10 times, your odds of success are meek - just 1 in 1204, or .008.

Something strange happens though if you keep flipping. 

If you flip that same coin 710 times, your odds skyrocket to 50%.

Keep going, and with 5000 flips you reach 99.3%.
